Pesca in(v/f)ernal

14 de Julio, salieron con dos grados bajo cero, navegaron entre la niebla de la mañana, viajaron hora y media hasta donde estaban las redes, trabajaron en ellas, levantaron las pescas, tiraron las redes de nuevo y viajaron de regreso con la caída, también muy fría, de la tarde. Agobiados por el frio y mojados por el agua de mar.

They went out on July 14th, with - 2º C, they sailed in between the fog of the morning for about an hour and a half up to where the fish traps were. They worked on the traps, they pulled the catch out, and they threw the traps again before heading back home at the evening. Almost frozen, wet because of the waves, and extremely tired, they smiled.

Cansados, igual, se les dibuja la sonrisa, esa que no se pierde nunca por hacer algo, que por el el premio de la satisfacción y del gusto -casi único- de ser pescador. Aquí arribaron a las 4 de la tarde, los esperaban en el "puertito" los carros y la gente para trabajar. Hay que filetear, encajonar, enfriar; el trabajo continua, pasan de las 8 horas, no importa las que sean, se trabajará igual...hoy, como siempre y hasta siempre. Los vecinos del pueblo, llevando sus piezas a la casa, el olor hoy que habrá en el pueblo, será de peces y brasas y aceites de parabienes, la gente nuevamente, hoy, festeja, como cada día de una pesca como esta. El gran teatro del inmenso mar y su playa, ya dio su función...el diablo se fue a su casa, a llenar su panza y su corazón - también - contento! Alegría, Salud Chau!

The smile that shows when you have done something with satisfaction, something you like doing. They arrived here at 4 pm. The people that work with them were waiting in the fishing port. They have to fillet, to box in, to freeze..the work continues for more than 8 hours, but it doesn´t matter, they will work anyway..today, as always and forever. The town´s people, taking their pieces back home. Tonight the town will smell grilled fish and olive oil. People are celebrating as they always do after such a catch. The grand theater of the sea and it´s beach has already shown it´s act…the pleased Devil has gone home to fill his belly and his heart. Cheers, happiness and Chau!
